Friday 26 September the 6B girls played and lost a closely contested home game against the St. Petronelle 6B team.
On Saturday, the 6B girls travelled to their match with the St. Pius X 6B girls. The game was exciting, definitely the best passing game this season, with the girls expertly coached by Meg Naber and substitute coach Stacey Lindemann. Emily was "on fire" throughout the game, with great passing, net work and fun to watch serving. The first match, with great service by Jill, Shannon and Karoline, was won by St. Joseph, 25-15. The second match with excellent service by Karoline, Emily and Rachel, and passing by Rachel, Emily, Lucy, Angelica and Monica, was fun to watch (for the St. Joeseph families) resulting in a win, 25-22. At this point, the game was won, but in the spirit of good sportsmanship, the third match was played "for fun" with the girls trying out the overhand serve techniques they had learned from Ernie Larson earlier in the week, with impressive form shown by Rachel and Kayla.
